Will.i.am doesn?t know why Tyler James is doing The Voice?
Considering Tyler James is in his team, you would?ve thought that Will.i.am would only want to say good, supportive things about the singer.
However the rapper has questioned why Tyler is even on the competition in the first place as he?s already released material in the past.
"Tyler is an artist, a true star," said Will. "And I don't even know why he's in the competition because he has albums out and I'm a fan of them.
"He's great. And hats off to joining the competition when you have a career already."
Well, he ONCE had a career but not anymore, presumably that?s why he?s in the competition right? Well regardless, Tyler will be fighting for survival on the programme when the live shows begin this weekend.
The full songlist for the show has just been revealed in fact, and it looks a little something like this?
Team Will
Joelle Moses - I'm Going Down (Mary J Blige)
Sophie Griffin - Titanium (David Guetta feat Sia)
Jaz Ellington - At Last (Etta James)
Frances Wood - Ain't Nobody (Chaka Khan)
Tyler James - Higher Love (James Vincent McMorrow)
Team Tom
Sam Buttery - A Little Respect (Erasure)
Matt and Sueleen - Go Your Own Way (Fleetwood Mac)
Leanne Mitchell - Who Knew (Pink)
Adam Isaac - All My Life (Foo Fighters)
Ruth Brown - Get Here (Oleta Adams)
Two acts (one from each team) will be sent home on Sunday while Jessie and Danny?s teams will be battling it out next week.

Olivia Wilde, Kate Mara & Eric Bana: "Deadfall" Tribeca Trio
Hitting the red carpet for the second night in a row, Olivia Wilde spent another day in the spotlight as she premiered her new movie 'Deadfall' as part of the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on Sunday (April 22).
With the screening taking place at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, the newly blonde 28-year-old actress flaunted her figure in a sexy LBD while teaming up with co-stars Kate Mara and Eric Bana.
Director Stefan Ruzowitzky was also on-hand for his new film's debut, as the crime/thriller finds "siblings Addison and Liza on the run with the stolen loot from a casino job gone horribly wrong. Meanwhile, troubled ex-boxer Jay heads for Thanksgiving dinner with his parents, June and retired sheriff Chet."
While no U.S. release date has been set thus far, "Deadfall" - which also boasts Sissy Spacek, Charlie Hunnam, Kris Kristofferson and Treat Williams in the cast - is expected to hit theaters on a limited basis sometime this year.

Abbie Cornish: 'The Girl' at Tribeca!
'Veep' Star Anna Chlumsky: Not 'My Girl' Anymore
HBO's new political comedy "Veep" (premieres Sun., Apr. 22, 10 p.m. on HBO) gives viewers a peek behind the curtain of running the office of the vice president of the United States. It also manages to make it feel like it's really no big deal at all. Sure, the person in this position is literally a heartbeat away (or a chest pain or two) from running the free world, but apparently that's where the glamour begins and ends.
Through the daily doldrums and mindless monotonies in the life of Vice President Selina Meyer (played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and her cabinet -- including child star Anna Chlumsky as Chief of Staff Amy, and "Arrest Development's" Tony Hale as Selina's personal aide Gary -- viewers quickly realize that this high-powered position actually holds no real power at all.
But the biggest testament to the show's success at satirizing real life politics is that this honest portrayal makes you instantly forget that the aforementioned stars have had memorable, career-defining roles prior to "Veep." In this, they really are the vice president and her cohorts.
I caught up with Anna Chlumsky (If the name doesn't ring a bell, the face will -- she played Vada Sultenfuss in "My Girl," a movie that's reached cult status in certain generations) to talk about just that. She also dished about her co-stars, working with Armando Iannucci again (she starred in his movie "In the Loop") and why her character Amy, a real go-getter, would never in a million years aspire to be veep herself.
I feel like this is one of those shows that you get the call and hear who's involved and immediately say yes -- but even more so for you, since you'd worked with Armando Iannucci before.
That's pretty much exactly it. I worked with Armand before, and Simon [Blackwell, co-creator] and all the writers, on "In the Loop," and so I'd heard that they were working on this pilot, and I was just keeping my attention on it from afar. And lo and behold, they had been thinking about me for it as well. That's kind of one of those beautiful things that doesn't happen very often, where you get to work with somebody who you adored working with before, but also that they were thinking of you as much as you were thinking of them, which is kind of a neat reciprocity.
Well and the cast is amazing, from Julia to Tony Hale and Matt Walsh ...
Oh, totally! We have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to who we get to work with. In the beginning, Julia was really the only one who was connected to it, cast-wise, and then I came on and they found everybody else in one fell swoop. We're terribly lucky to have Tony and Matt, and Tim [C. Simons] is just so fantastic, and Reid [Scott] and Sufe [Bradshaw] ... we're so lucky.
Amy's a nice balance -- someone who has to deal with a lot of shit, but doesn't really take a lot of shit. How do you describe her?
Well, she's obviously a very young chief of staff -- just by anybody's standards, mid-30s is pretty young to take on that role. So immediately I thought, "Oh, so this girl must be some kind of a wunderkind." Every once in a while, you get people in any industry, but just as much on the Hill, who maybe have been involved in politics from an early age, or maybe they've really outshone all of their peers, and people start to talk about them. I definitely feel like she's one of those people. Before we even meet anybody on the show, I think that was her life. She worked with Selina for a long time -- like nine years -- and I think Selina just definitely wanted to keep her around. The most enticing position to give Amy would be chief of staff. She loves being the boss, she loves running things ... I think she'd be just as happy, if not more happy, running a big Fortune 500 company as she would running a crazy office in the executive branch. She wants to be one of the most powerful women, and she's really, really into being the puppeteer.
Well, she has a pretty good puppet ... Selina needs a lot of guidance and reassurance.
Right? Yeah, she's not bored at all ... but she kind of is in the sense that they went from a really high-powered senatorial office to the vice presidential, so I think she probably feels like she was more of a mover and shaker before the vice president's office. Now, it's like they have to claw at finding something relevant. [Laughs.] And they're clawing away! Selina and Amy both have the exact same wishes for Selina's tenure as vice president. Amy can be as much of a barker and a ball-buster with her staff and with other people that she deals with, but with Selina, she really needs to maintain the brave face. It's her job, and almost her job alone, to make sure that Selina is always on her A-game.
But for Amy, being this go-getter with all these big aspirations, no one wants to knock the vice president, but this is not a job that people aspire to! I don't feel like Amy would even want to be vice president.
Right! [Laughs.] Totally! In my head, it's like she had a bunch of other jobs lined up once Selina didn't continue in the primaries, but then once Selina took the vice presidential bid, she was probably like, "O,h please come -- I need you." This is all what I've made up, but I think Amy was like, "Well ... I'll take the title of chief of staff." [Laughs.]
Did you have a favorite episode?
They're all amazing, and what's neat is the politicking only gets better as we keep going. The first three episodes, it's really getting to know the dynamics of the office, and it's really getting to know what the office's goals are, and kind of learning that language. Once that's established, then you kind of get to see them play the game a little bit more. So that has a lot of opportunities for Amy. The seventh episode is kind of Amy-heavy. She has at least one or two irons in the fire in each episode, so that's pretty great.
I think the genius of the show is not just the glimpse into this world -- it's what we don't know or see. I love that we don't know what party they're in, and that we'll never actually see the president on screen.
That's right. I think it's one of the lynchpins of what we're doing here. This isn't an agenda show, by any means -- this is a look into an industry that I think gets mythologized a lot, especially in our country. In order to satirize adequately, I think you need to bring people down to Earth and be like, "Yeah, these people drink coffee and have tummy troubles and they go to the bathroom like anybody else, and they all have relationship problems, if they even have relationships." We don't need to see the president, and we don't need to know the party ... those things are not going to inform at all what these people go through every day.
There's an entire scene debating yogurt flavors, trying to decide what flavor Selina should order at a press opp to accurately reflect her personality and positions -- it's like dessert by committee. What yogurt do you think Amy would be?
[Laughs.] Oh my God, that's great -- I wish I had Jonah [played by Timothy C. Simons] with me because he's an expert evidently. Let's see ... it wouldn't just be plain vanilla, and it wouldn't be chocolate and it wouldn't be swirl. What would she be? I think peanut butter, because peanut butter is like the closest we can get to a meat flavored yogurt. [Laughs.] With all the protein involved.
We're only a couple of months apart in age, so forgive this, but I can't talk to you and not talk about "My Girl." You chose to take time away from Hollywood to go to college before continuing your career, but I imagine you couldn't really escape it then, or even now as a grown woman. Do people still come up to you to talk about Veda and "My Girl"?
Oh, all the time. All the time. All the time ... for sure. It didn't really hit me until I was in my early 20s just how much it resonated with people. When you're kids and all the people who are watching the movie are kids, no one can really express why it meant a lot. It was more like having unwanted attention as a child -- if you'd walk around, people would recognize you, and it would be in a weird, almost making-fun-type manner. Those same people who liked the movie, once they're 20, they can come up to me and say, "Oh, that mattered so much to me because of A, B and C." So I think the journey was realizing just how important of a movie it was for a lot of people. And, also as an adult, it's a good one. It's a good movie! I would recommend it. [Laughs.]
[Laughs.] It's one of those movies that if it's on cable, you can't change the channel.
Yeah, I always say that about "Big." It comes on, and no matter what you're doing, you'll stay at the edge of your couch and finish it. You just will.
Yep, that's another one! Have you stopped and watched "My Girl" like that?
I haven't watched it in a long, long time. I don't even know what the circumstance was the last time I watched it, but I was in my mid-20s and it came on and I think I watched until it reached commercial. I've seen it in chunks, but yeah -- I probably don't need to see it until I have my own kids and they're 10. [Laughs.]
And then you probably won't even tell them it's you.
Well, according to a lot of people, they won't be able to mistake me. [Laughs.] Supposedly I haven't changed.
I'd disagree. I think the biggest compliment I can give you about watching "Veep" is you instantly forget all of that.
Oh, that is the best compliment ... I can't even tell you. Thank you so much!
But it's the same with Tony -- he stops being Buster Bluth from "Arrested Development." And with Julia -- you watch her in this, and you're not watching Elaine Benes from "Seinfeld." She is Selina Meyer.
Oh totally! She has embraced Selina completely. It's kind of funny now that we're doing all this press. I'll see Julia onscreen and, in person, it's different -- I expect to see Julia and talk to Julia -- but in an interview, it's kind of funny, because it's like I've almost grown used to the wig. [Laughs.] She really embodies her ... it's a testament to how good she is.
She told a story on "The Daily Show" [video above] about being on the Senate floor and leaving a funny note in Al Franken's desk ...
Yes, I watched that, too! I didn't know what she wrote in that note until then! We all watched her write the note and she went over to the desk and tossed it in, and I was just like, "Oh, that's so cool." What a small world, when you think about it. Who would ever expect to go on the Senate floor and know somebody, but she does. I never knew what was in the note, so that kind of cracked me up.
"Veep" premieres Sun., Apr. 22, 10 p.m. on HBO.

Barry Manilow Remembers Dick Clark
Broadcast legend Dick Clark, who passed away Wednesday at the age of 82, got his big break in 1956, hosting "Bob Horn's Bandstand" -- a show that would later be renamed "American Bandstand."
Clark was so at home on the show that he kept the theme song, written by Barry Manilow and Bruce Sussman, as the hold music on his office's telephones long after it went off the air.
"We were all having lunch together and he needed to call his office for something," Sussman remembers. "When he called, they put him on hold, which made him laugh, and then suddenly he turned to me and said, 'Bruce, quick, listen to this.' He handed me the phone and the hold music was 'Bandstand Boogie,' the theme song Barry and I wrote for his show. It was such a sweet and adorable thing to do. That smile on his face as he watched me listen to the tune, that's how I will remember him."
Manilow similarly remembers Clark's kind spirit and enduring support.
“This is a sad day," Manilow says. "He was a dear friend, supporting me and my music for all of my years in the business. A great businessman and a true gentleman. An inspiration. My heart is so heavy now.”
"Above and beyond his being an icon in our industry with accomplishments beyond measure, he was first and foremost a real gentlemen, generous to a fault, and someone who never lost his infectious enthusiasm for the entertainment world and, especially, talented artists," Sussman added. "He was deeply loved and will be remembered."

Sheree Whitfield: Leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is losing an original cast member.
Sheree Whitfield tells Wet Paint she's exiting the series after four difficult seasons as a Bravo star. And, as you can tell by her statement below, she's doing it with her ego fully intact:
"After four solid seasons of helping Bravo build the show into its most successful Housewives franchise, I have decided to leave. The direction the show is going in is no longer a fit for my lifestyle. I'm tired of the fighting and the cattiness.
"I want to be part of something that empowers and inspires women to not only be healthy, but to treat themselves with respect. I wish the rest of the women the best of luck."
During the recently-wrapped fourth season, Whitfield battled with her ex for child support, while she has memorably clashed over the years with castmates NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak.
Will you miss Sheree on The Real Housewives of Atlanta?
Salma Hayek's Lakers Family Fun
Stepping out for an evening of sport, Salma Hayek was spotted at the Los Angeles Lakers basketball game last night (April 17).
The ?Desperado? actress was joined by her husband Francois-Henri Pinault and his son as she watched the home team lose to the San Antonio Spurs, with a final score of 112-91.
In a recent interview, Salma confessed that she almost said goodbye to her acting career after giving birth to her daughter Valentina.
?I think if you are young and you have children, you still have so much to prove. When you have children later in life, you lose a bit of that urge for working. At the time, I was thinking, I can do another movie that may or may not work, or I can be with my child, nourish her, and not miss a moment of this precious time. And if my career is going to end in two years, what?s the difference, anyway??
Salma also noted that her hubby encouraged her to continue pursuing her acting passion. ?He told me, ?You feel like this right now, but when Valentina grows a little older, you are going to want to go back, and it might be too late. You are so smart, so talented. You have so much more potential. Don?t you want to see where it will take you??
?I was always trying to make people believe in me, and then I found someone who believed in me more than I believed in myself.?

Spencer Matthews looks smug as he leaves MIC screening with Louise Thompson
Oh Spencer you are such a lothario, aren?t you? And you apparently have no shame, do you?
Last night Spence attended a special screening of Made In Chelsea with the rest of his castmates, including Kimberly Garner who he went on a date with in this week?s episode.
New girl Kimberly is seen going on two dates during the episode with best friends Spencer and Jamie.
During her date with Jamie, he admits that he still has feelings for his ex girlfriend Louise, who it looks like Spencer took home last night.
Spencer?s not only meddling in Jamie?s relationship with Louise but he?s also muscling in on his with Kimberly.
On Spencer?s date with the vocally Christian Kim he was his usual subtle and charming self?not, he embarrasses her by asking if she is a virgin.
He said: 'Is it difficult to be such an attractive girl?
?You are a very striking person. You do dress very seductively. You ooze sexiness and yet...
'Can I ask you a very personal question? I was under the impression you were a virgin...'
Argh god he?s so unsmooth. Clearly mortified, she replies: 'Its fine. It's quite a personal question but... yeah, I'm quite a good girl.'
Not unsurprisingly Kimberly didn?t arrive with either of the boys, we wonder why. We can?t begin to imagine how awkward the screening was.

Bobby Petrino Fired By University of Arkansas Over Jessica Dorrell Affair
The University of Arkansas has fired head football coach Bobby Petrino after he attempted to conceal, and later admitted to an “inappropriate relationship” with his recently hired 25-year-old employee, Jessica Dorrell.
Petrino’s relationship with Dorrell lasted a “significant” amount of time, and at one point, Petrino gave her $20,000 out of his own pocket as a “gift.”
Dorrell, a former Arkansas volleyball player (below), was hired by Petrino on March 28, only four days before both were involved in a motorcycle crash on a rural road outside the city, prompting the coach to lie but ultimately exposing Petrino's affair.
Jessica Dorrell, who reportedly called off an engagement one week before the accident, has hired a lawyer and could sue for sexual harassment.
As the story unfolded after Petrino crashed his motorcycle 10 days ago, many Arkansas faithful came to their coach’s defense, rallying to show support and pleading with the administration to forgive Petrino and move forward.
But in the end, Bobby Petrino accepted the fate he earned - dismissal.
In a statement, issued after the announcement, Petrino was contrite:
The simplest response I have is: I’m sorry.
These two words seem very inadequate. But that is my heart. All I have been able to think about is the number of people I’ve let down by making selfish decisions. I’ve taken a lot of criticism in the past. Some deserved, some not deserved.
This time, I have no one to blame but myself.
I chose to engage in an improper relationship. I also made several poor decisions following the end of that relationship and in the aftermath of the accident. I accept full responsibility for what has happened.
I’m sure you heard (athletic director) Jeff Long’s reasons for termination. There was a lot of information shared. Given the decision that has been made, this is not the place to debate Jeff’s view of what happened.
In the end, I put him in the position of having to sort through my mistakes and that is my fault. I have hurt my wife Becky and our four children.
I’ve let down the University of Arkansas, my team, coaching staff and everyone associated with the Arkansas Razorback football program.

Levi Johnston on Pregnant Girlfriend Sunny Oglesby: So Great With Kids!
Levi Johnston is going to be a father again. As we reported yesterday, Sunny Oglesby, 20, is pregnant with his child. It'll be Levi's second and Sunny's first.
Will they last? And be good parents? Who knows, but this relationship is considerably less tumultuous than his previous fake engagements to Bristol Palin.
"We're definitely both in love - we hunt, we fish together," Levi, 21, gushed to In Touch last year about his galpal, who he's been dating for 18 months.
"She's definitely what I've been looking for. We do everything together."
Suffice it to say, Sunny Oglesby has seen this hotness. A lot.
Levi praised Sunny Oglesby for not being into his infamy. "She sees the real me, she doesn't care about any of this," the author of Deer in the Headlights said.
"She's a preschool teacher. She actually has problems with her father as well, she's never met him. Her mom's great, her mom's there for both of us and it's going really well. I'm really happy. She's so great with kids."
While Levi was still feeling marriage-shy last year - "I've learned my lesson with marriage so far, twice it backfired!" - maybe Sunny's The One?
'Savage U' Brings Sex Columnist Dan Savage To College Campuses
As long as there are young people, there will be young people having unprotected sex. No matter what videos they've seen, stories they've told, or even in some cases diseases they have contracted, they just will not take safe sex seriously. Dan Savage faced that problem head on in the series premiere of "Savage U" (Tue., 11 p.m. ET on MTV).
For the series premiere, Savage headed to the University of Maryland. His idea was to take his straight talk approach to sex to college campuses across the country and have frank and open discussions with college kids about their own sexuality, answering questions and encouraging these students to be open and honest with their concerns and questions.
One of the more memorable scenes saw him find out that a male student sitting next to him was having unprotected sex with his girlfriend. So Savage called up the girlfriend and chided her, telling her that she's much more likely to be able to get an STD/STI, as well as the fact that if she gets pregnant, she's far more likely to have to shoulder that responsibility alone. All the while, her boyfriend was over Savage's shoulder smiling uncomfortably. It was a classic moment trying to read what was going through his head.
Dan Savage continues spreading the good message about sex on "Savage U," Tuesdays at 11 p.m. ET on MTV.

Russell Brand: Keeping Katy Perry Tattoo, Waxing Philosophical About Life
Russell Brand is doing well, thank you.
Returning to his roots - bachelorhood, plus standup comedy - is the ideal way to move on from his marriage to Katy Perry, which ended this winter after 14 months.
To hear Russell tell it, he has no reason not to be well.
Waxing philosophical about life, he says, "You don't need to brush it off if you don’t get it on you in the first place," he says, not specifically defining what "it" is.
The 36-year-old sounds downright zen in adding, "I don't have to let anything go. I don't hold on to anything negative. It's the same as zero-ness."
Asked if that's part of his yoga philosophy, Brand notes. "It's not about letting it go," he says. "You can't let go of something you don't hold, you know. It's meaningless, [and] much of our world is predicated on meaninglessness. And I just don't do that anymore."
As for his upcoming late-night show, which is due later this year on FX?
"It's a standup comedy show. We'll talk about current affairs and analyze and deconstruct the media of the day and approach news from a humanitarian and spiritual angle, whilst keeping it simultaneously and continuously humorous."
It will be Brand's first major foray into American TV, though he's done guest spots and hosting gigs such as the MTV Video Music Awards.
