Fox Adds 'Glee,' 'Sons of Anarchy' and More to Netflix Instant Streaming

Filed under:

GleeNetflix just got cooler. The entertainment powerhouse and Fox have extended their content arrangement.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 'Glee,' 'Sons of Anarchy' and 'Ally McBeal' have been added to Netflix's instant stream feature. It's just 'Glee' season 1 at the moment, but we all know how great some of those episodes were. 'Sons of Anarchy' season 1 and 2, along with the entire series of 'Ally McBeal' are currently available.

"Our expanded non-exclusive streaming arrangement with Netflix maintains Fox's flexibility to effectively manage both the content we offer, and the appropriate window of availability relative to our other distribution partnerships," Peter Levinsohn, president of new media and digital distribution at Fox Filmed Entertainment, said in a statement.

Goodbye Girls, Will 'American Idol' Crown Another Male Winner?

MB1_6004.JPGEarlier on in Season 10 of American Idol, Randy Jackson gave us the shocking information that either a girl or a guy could win this season. If experience has taught him anything, it's how to predict things. Nigel Lythgoe even said earlier on that the girls were coming on strong this season, but America isn't Nigel Lythgoe. So far, only girls have been eliminated, leaving two contenders and one who has been in the bottom 3 multiple times. The one guy who would have been eliminated (Casey), received The Save. So what gives?

I guess we could talk about sexism but I don't really think that's the issue. And I don't want to talk about sexism because blehh, you know? But here's where we theorize. Here are some half-baked theories:

'The Borgias' Review: A History of Sex and Violence

TheBorgias_gal03_Altar-HORIZ-011.jpg
If you want to learn about (quasi-)history, Showtime's new series, The Borgias, may be one of the most entertaining, violent and sex-filled ways to do it. Dry textbooks truly cannot live up to this series as a way to watch historical figures behaving very, very badly.

'American Idol': Did Naima Adedapo and Thia Megia Fall Victim to the 'Teenybopper' Vote?

Filed under:

After last night's grim double elimination, ousted 'Idols' Naima Adedapo and Thia Megia took to the phones today to talk about their 'A.I.' experience in a press conference call and look back on the choices they made, for better or, some would argue, worse.

And though the girls were incredibly gracious about their eliminations, noting the top-notch competition they faced from their season 10 peers, Naima and Thia both acknowledged the power of the "teenybopper" vote, in deciding their fates.

"We sort of figured that since there are more females watching the show, the votes would be more for the guys," said Thia. "It's not only that, because the guys are also incredible, but we were a bit worried about that. We were a bit intimidated by all the girls watching the show and just knowing that their votes would be going to the guys." Thia, by the way, happens to be a 16-year-old, herself.
