So long, ?Extreme Makeover: Home Edition?
It appears that ABC is no longer in the home improvement-as-life improvement business.
On Thursday the network announced that “Extreme� Makeover: Home Edition,” hosted by kind, studly carpenter Ty Pennington, would be ending in January 2012.� The series will have aired 200 episodes and constructed more than 200 homes. According to ABC, the crew visited Joplin, Missouri in the 200th and final episode to build seven homes for seven families in seven days.

Sofia Vergara & Joe Jonas: New Year's Eve Bellagio Buddies
Spicing things up as Sin City bid farewell to 2011, Sofia Vergara joined alongside Joe Jonas at Bellagio Resort & Casino on Saturday night (December 31).
The "Modern Family" actress looked stunning in a body-hugging white frock as she posed alongside the "Camp Rock" hunk at the New Year's Eve opening of Hyde Bellagio nightclub.
Having herself a wonderful experience, Miss Vergara excitedly tweeted during the festivities, "Feliz anoooo," while adding "Viva Sam! The best club,Hyde Vegas! Gracias,we had the best New Years partyyy!"
Also joining in on the Vegas soiree was former "That '70s Show" star Wilmer Valderrama, with the dapper 31-year-old tweeting of his expensive ensemble, "Getting my Tom Ford on for this evening!!! Haha I deserve it"
Rounding out the guest list at the Hyde Bellagio bash were a full slate of celebrities including the likes of Leona Lewis, Stephen Dorff, Amber Lancaster, Damon Wayans Jr., Eliza Dushku with Rick Fox and Stephanie Pratt.
New Year's Box Office: "Mission: Impossible" Reigns Again
Claiming the pole position for the second straight week, "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" finds itself perched in the top spot at the box office to begin the New Year's weekend of December 30, 2011 - January 1, 2012.
The Tom Cruise and Paula Patton fronted action film pulled in $10.7 million on Friday and $8.7 million on Saturday while expected to bring in a solid total of $28.2 million during its third weekend of release.
With little change being seen from the Christmas weekend placings, the runner-up slot is occupied once more by the Guy Ritchie directed sequel "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," as the Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr starring motion picture made $7.4 million on Friday and $6.2 million on Saturday while trending towards a weekend take of $20.8 million.
Rounding out the top five at the box office in estimated weekend totals are the Steven Spielberg directed movie "War Horse" ($13.1 million), along with the family friendly film "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked" ($18 million) and the Scarlett Johansson/Matt Damon co-starring dramedy "We Bought a Zoo" ($13 million).
"Punk'd" Announces Premiere Date, Debuts Show Promo
Bringing official confirmation to previous reports, it was announced during MTV's New Year's Eve special that "Punk'd" is set for a March 19th return.
Being produced by it's creator/former star Ashton Kutcher, the upcoming season of the prank show will utilize a rotating lineup of hosts including the likes of Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Dax Shepard and Kellen Lutz, among others.
On top of revealing the comeback date, MTV treated viewers to a sneak peek which features guest host Miss Cyrus (joined by gal pal Kelly Osbourne) pulling a prank on E! Reality star Khloe Kardashian.
With the clip available for viewing below, the footage shows Ms. Kardashian frantically calling 9-1-1 after a food delivery person getting his man parts stuck in the zipper of his trousers. From there, the drama ensues.
