So do you want the good news or the bad news first?
The bad news is the super injunction is staying put, but the good news is the original story has taken a rather unexpected turn as court papers have been released online.
According to the case summary (which you can read in full here) it is alleged that Imogen only met the footballer in question three times, which somewhat contradicts her claims of a six-month affair and she?s also accused of blackmailing him.
The report then explains that in April the footballer agreed to meet Imogen after she bombarded him with messages and he feared she planning to sell her story. They met at a hotel where she asked for a signed football shirt, which he gave and she also asked him to give her 50,000 to keep quiet but he refused.
However, he was extremely worried she was still planning to sell her story so when she asked to meet again a few days later he agreed. This time he gave her tickets to a game, but still refused to give her any money and this is where it gets really interesting?
Apparently the evidence suggests ?Ms Thomas had arranged the hotel rendezvous in collaboration with photographers and/or journalists.
?On 12 April, the Claimant sent Ms Thomas a message to say that he did not want any further contact with her. Then, in something of a quandary, he thought better of it and sent her a further message the following day. This was to convey to her that he might be willing to pay her some money after all. By this time, however, she made it clear that she was looking for 100,000.?
So let?s sum this up, she ?allegedly? asked for a signed football shirt, tickets to a game and 100,000 or else she?d sell her story? Is that right? And we?re supposed to feel sorry for her why?
