After four years on CBS's Emmy-winning soap 'The Bold and the Beautiful,' Kyle Lowder is out as Rick. The official word is that Lowder's been taken off contract and will be recurring -- much like Ashley Jones' Bridget and Winsor Harmon's Thorne -- but according to the star, he's looking for a permanent gig elsewhere.Lowder told Soap Opera Digest, "From my standpoint, it's an amicable situation. Obviously, it's their choice, but at the same time, the story has been slow for over a year and a half, and like any professional in any line of work would do, you prepare yourself for the next step."
The actor, who previously appeared on 'Days of Our Lives' as Brady, could land another soap role, or move on to prime time.
It's too bad 'B&B' stopped writing for him, an inexplicable development considering how front-burner his storyline had been for most of his tenure as Rick.
