After barreling onto AMC's schedule with a brief but explosive six-episode run this fall, The Walking Dead felt more like a mini-series or "television event" than the first season of a show hoping and angling for a years-long cable presence. That's not to say that season 1 ended cleanly--quite the opposite. But we had just gotten going, and then, as suddenly as the outbreak began, it was over.
Though we will have to wait until next fall to see the answers to all the questions posed by the season 1 finale, "TS-19," The Walking Dead cast and crew want you to know: They've got big ideas for season 2, and they intend to answer those questions. At least, in the long run. And they do hope for a long run.
Check out this video of the cast, crew and Robert Kirkman, executive producer and creator of the original graphic novel series, as they talk about where The Walking Dead could go next.
