['Parks and Recreation' - 'Fancy Party']Because of NBC's crack promo department, this week's lovely event was announced two months ago. Instead of giving us a promo about their Ron and Tammy wedding registry site, the promo announced a registry site for Andy and April.
Maybe that's why, with the cat out of the bag, NBC decided to go all in and promote the couple's mostly impromptu wedding in the ads for this week's episode. No biggie, in the long run, because it was hard to believe that these crazy kids would actually go through with it.
What's strange was, the wedding actually ended up derailing what was developing into a pretty funny episode. There were plenty of funny moments, as 'Parks' has been giving us all season, and there were more funny moments in the first five minutes than in the entire episode of 'The Office' that preceded it, but in a mostly stellar season, this one sits near the bottom of the list.
