[Video: My Lifetime.com Words: Samuel Nathan]
We still can?t believe that somebody thought it was a good idea to make a film about Meredith Kercher?s murder so soon after the horrific event.
Shockingly though filming for the movie went ahead last year and the trailer for the TV film has now hit the internet. The film, starring Hayden Panettiere as Amanda Knox (who?s in jail in Italy for the murder and is in the process of launching an appeal) seems to be asking questions about Knox?s potential innocence, and obviously this has left Meredith?s parents very upset.
Particularly because one scene in the movie depicts Meredith?s murder, which they were under the impression would not feature specifically in the film. After seeing the preview Meredith?s dad said some of the scenes in the film were: 'absolutely horrific'. He added:
'It's so awful what these film people have done. Your imagination runs riot as it is about what happened but to actually see it like this is very different and very distressing,'
'I'm also surprised they went that far in the film. I was told the original brief and synopsis of the film was to take it up to the point of the killing but not actually show the killing itself
'It's obvious from these pictures they are showing the killing?
Apparently the makers of the film (which apart from being insensitive and crass also looks utterly terrible) now run the risk of being sued by the convicted people's lawyers.
