Sacha Baron Cohen?s ?Dictator? Calls Into ?Today? Show

Continuing his battle with the powers that be at the Academy Awards, Sacha Baron Cohen called the ?Today? show in character as ?The Dictator? this morning (February 24).

The ?Bruno? actor had previously posted a clip on YouTube announcing his plans, and declared first-hand how he felt about being banned from the Oscars on Sunday- "Admiral General Aladeen will deliver a formal response tomorrow morning to being banned from the Oscars by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Zionists."

During his conversation, Cohen (as The Dictator) declared, ?Welcome. Good morning. I have been very busy today. I actually delayed 30 executions to do this.?

?Normally I would be impressed by an act of cowardice by a faceless regime, but this is personal. You know I have issued them an ultimatum. They have until midday on Sunday to give me my tickets back. If they do not they will face unforeseen and unimaginable consequences. By the way, how is your family? How is your eunuch Al Roker??

An Academy Awards spokesman previously told press, ?The Academy would love to have Sacha at the show," a spokesman told The Hollywood Reporter. "We?ve let him know how we feel about using the red carpet for a movie stunt and we?re waiting to hear from him.?
