EXCLUSIVE: Syfy’s drama Alphas is heading into Season 2 with a new showrunner. Bruce Miller has joined the series starring David Strathairn as executive producer/showrunner. He replaces Ira Steven Behr, who is departing after running the series in its first season. Alphas, from BermanBraun, Universal Cable Prods. and co-creators Zak Penn and Michael Karnow, follows a team of�ordinary citizens who possess extraordinary and unusual mental skills. It was renewed for a second season earlier this month. Miller will serve as an executive producer on the show alongside Penn and BermanBraun?s Gail Berman,�Lloyd Braun�and Gene Stein. Karnow serves as co-executive producer. The gig extends Miller’s relationship with Syfy. He most recently served as an executive producer/showrunner on the network’s series Eureka, which wrapped production on its fifth and final season last month. ICM-repped Miller’s series credits also includes ER, Medium and 4400.

She's one of the most desirable promotional faces around, and Lady Gaga is featured in a just-released special edit of a video she made for the Nicola Formichetti Mugler women?s runway show as part of Paris Fashion Week.
The ?You and I? songstress teamed up with directors Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for the project to create a mix of the Mugler runway show and Gaga performing.
The bizarre yet captivating video opens with an up-close look of Gaga?s face, with her teeth diamond-encrusted as she says, ?Sometime, my heart sometimes feels so black?and other days my heart feels like rainbows.?
The directors, Inez and Vinoodh, worked with Gaga on her "You and I" fashion films and so far three have included some of her alter egos, including the nymph, the bride and Yuyi the mermaid.
Prince William and Duchess Catherine (Kate Middleton) came together to open the new Oak Centre for Children and Young People at The Royal Marsden Hospital.
The new facility is located in Sutton, Surrey, England.
Upon their arrival, the royally cute twosome was greeted by many spectators before they met with staff, key donors and fundraisers. "There was excitement amongst the children before the royal arrival," a source says.
The royal pair actually arrived separately to the dedication.
Because William, 29, was "on-call Wednesday night at RAF Valley and had two call outs," he didn't get a chance to sleep before the Oak Centre opening.
"He only finished at 10 a.m. Thursday and quickly got changed before he was flown over straight from the base to Surrey," where he met Kate, also 29.
Kate, who arrived with palace staff having stayed in London, "gently patted him on the back" when she heard about his sleepless night. How sweet.
For an alleged princess in turmoil, she sure looks happy here!

Ready for some family time on the lanes, Kim Kardashian joined sister Kourtney and her beau Scott Disick for an evening (September 27) at a New York City bowling alley.
Opting for Bowlmor Lanes in Times Square, the E! reality siblings looked stylish as always as they hit up the popular Big Apple entertainment center.
Meanwhile, the sisters have been poking fun at Scott's exhibitionist ways during his time on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
Pointing to his choice to go commando in recent episodes, Kim told, "Honestly, it's way too much. He has to start wearing some tighty-whities," while Kourtney proclaimed, "It's like an elephant's trunk!"
Kourtney also dished about the time she received a Google alert regarding her boyfriend's manhood, telling, "We went on a date night in the Meatpacking last night, so the story said, 'The Meatpacking District isn't the only thing packing meat!' New Jersey Governor Chris Christie won't say if he's running for president, but he's definitely campaigning against 'Jersey Shore.' NJ.com is reporting that Christie has vetoed the controversial $420,000 tax credit the New Jersey Development Authority had granted the boozy MTV reality show.
"I have no interest in policing the content of such projects," Christie said in a statement. "However, as chief executive I am duty-bound to ensure that taxpayers are not footing a $420,000 bill for a project which does nothing more than perpetuate misconceptions about the state and its citizens."
Seaside Heights mayor P. Kenneth Hershey had previously defended the tax credit, arguing that having the show film in his beach town helps the local economy.
NJ.com reports that the same program has handed out entertainment-related tax credits to 'Hell in a Cell at Newark,' several live wrestling shows, and 'Chlorine,' a film starring Kyra Sedgwick.

DreamWorks Animation has thrown its support to Netflix, according to The New York Times. The report says�Jeffrey Katzenberg’s studio has inked a deal with the DVD and streaming service that could be worth�$30 million per film to DWA in the lucrative pay TV window. 
The pact kicks off in 2013 and replaces�one that gave HBO� rights to the animation studio’s films and TV specials.�?We are really starting to see a long-term road map of where the industry is headed,? Katzenberg told the newspaper. ?This is a game-changing deal.? Um, no, because DWA’s product output is still very minuscule. But Netflix is desperate after�losing subscribers�because of�a price hike and�split of its DVD-by-mail and streaming services.�Now the company’s once-impervious stock price has been sliding fast. Dr. Conrad Murray's actions - or lack thereof - were telling, according to the officials tasked with investigating the death of Michael Jackson in 2009.
Prosecutors in the physician's involuntary manslaughter trial want the jury to hear about how authorities tried repeatedly to get in touch with Dr. Conrad Murray to figure out how Michael Jackson died, and how he didn't cooperate.
That, they say, is proof positive of a guilty conscience.
Prosecutors say both the LAPD and the L.A. County Coroner tried on at least three separate occasions from June 30-July 21, 2009 to contact Murray about the case.
Never once did they receive a call back.
By falling off the radar, prosecutors believe it shows a consciousness of guilt - if not a full-scale effort to be less than forthcoming - and they want this evidence before the selected jurors. The judge has yet to rule the motion.
The gaping hole in the Michael Jackson death timeline and the judge's ruling that some previous MJ doctors cannot testify won't help Murray, either.

Stepping out for charity for the second night in a row, Jennifer Aniston attended the Artists for Haiti dinner to benefit the Stiller Foundation in New York City on Friday (September 23).

The dinner outing comes a day after Miss Aniston and boyfriend Justin Theroux took to Christie's Auction House for the charitable organization - where reports tell that the couple were the winning bidders on a $450,000 painting.
Jen and Justin are said to have picked up American artist Glenn Ligon's "Stranger #44," which is described as "an abstract 2011 work of oil, charcoal and graphite on canvas."
A source from Artinfo tells, "Aniston, who was in the room, clapped enthusiastically after [Theroux's] winning bid."
