Johnny Depp Casts "Dark Shadows" on Japan

After a highly anticipated opening day here in America, Johnny Depp and director Tim Burton made their way to Tokyo, Japan for the premiere of ?Dark Shadows? on Saturday afternoon (May 12).

The 48-year-old actor looked cool and collected in a cowboy-inspired outfit as he attended the event at Roppingi Hills to promote the films Japanese opening on May 19.

In other news, the dynamic Depp-Burton duo has come together to make a whopping eight films, which the ?Edward Scissorhands? actor says is because, ?We relate to characters who are a little off; people who don?t feel like they fit in anywhere. I think that?s why we work well together.?

Their newest project opened in theaters yesterday (May 11). It?s based on a 1970s soap opera about an 18th century ladies? man who becomes a vampire after he breaks a witch?s heart and also stars Chloe Moretz, Michelle Pfeiffer and Helena Bonham Carter.
