NBC Sets Premiere Dates for ?The Voice,? ?Smash?


NBC’s surprise late season hit “The Voice” will receive a post-Super Bowl XLVI second season premiere on Feb. 5, the network confirmed Monday morning.

NBC’s chairman of entertainment, Robert Greenblatt, also revealed that midseason drama “Smash,” starring “American Idol” finalist Katharine McPhee, is set to debut the following night, Feb. 6, at 10pm.

The announcements were made as part of NBC’s day of presentations at the Television Critics Association’s Summer Press Tour. The annual conference brings more than 200 reporters and editors to Los Angeles to talk to producers and network executives about the upcoming season’s programming.
